Sara Helms is a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and 200-hour CYT (Certified Yoga Teacher) with additional training in Trauma-Informed Yoga and Yoga & Mindfulness for Diverse Abilities. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is passionate about bringing movement, mindfulness, and creativity into playful practices that help kids build confidence, resilience, and joy.

Sara has always had a natural connection with children, with an innate ability to offer calm, connection, and support. Her work at a specialty dental practice in NYC, where she supported children with dental anxiety, strengthened these gifts and inspired her path toward Little Pine Yoga. She later continued her career in healthcare marketing and at a yoga center, focusing on marketing and community outreach. These experiences, combined with motherhood, deepened her belief in the importance of giving children tools for self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional well-being.

Through Little Pine Yoga, Sara offers kids yoga classes designed to nurture imagination, confidence, and calm in today’s busy, tech-filled world. She also integrates yoga principles such as kindness, gratitude, and compassion, helping kids connect with themselves and their community. Sara believes kids are some of our best teachers, constantly reminding us of the joy, silliness, and curiosity that adults too easily forget.
